Cambodians got something to cheer after Ly Boramy struck gold in the Single Man Vovinam Martial arts Yesterday. The 25 Year old gave a spectacular performance that stunned the Judges as well as the over 1000 spectators cheering Cambodia on as LY Boramy scored 278 points to defeat Vietnam and Indonesia to Silver and bronze respectively.

Cambodia Looks To Add To Their Medal Tally

As the 26th SEA Games enters its third day of activities, Cambodia Is looking to increase it's medal haul following two bronze medals won in Taekwondo and Pentanque in the first two days of the Games.

With progress made in Tennis and Pentaque yesterday, the kingdom is looking to add more medals as the pair of Bun Kenny and Orn Sambath will take on their opponents from Indonesia for the semi finals after defeating Laos 2 sets to 1 yesterday. The pair is assured of a bronze already but will be looking to chase the Gold or Silver.

17 yr Old Sorn Seavmey wins Cambodia's first medal at the 26th SEA games

Cambodia won her first medal in the on going 26th SEA games in Taekwondo after 17 year old Seavmey Sorn lost out in the semi finals against Vietnam's Thanh Thao Nguyen at the Korean-Indonesia Friendship Taekwondo center, Jakarta today.

Sorn Davin got to the semi finals after winning Malaysia's Maznal Samadin the Quarter Finals of he Under 62 Female Category.

We wanted somewhere fairly relaxed at the start of our 3 month trip to unwind after the hectic few weeks we had in the UK prior to our departure. Of all the spots I had researched, Lazy Beach looked like it might be the ticket. A private section of beach, rented from the government and kept tidy by the local staff, wooden bungalows and just a couple of hours boat ride from Sihanoukville on the Cambodian coast.

One of the best reasons to come to Cambodia is that you’re bound to come away with an unusual story. I have been living in Phnom Penh for a few short months and feel as if I have already collected at least a dozen stories to be retold for years to come. Many of these stories have been collected through my experiences as a volunteer at a local, non-governmental organization (NGO) that specializes in agricultural development. One of the best perks about working at this NGO is that I get to go out into the field with fellow staff.
