If you love the beautiful game and the world cup inspired you to brush off your boots Saigon Saints may be what you are looking for. Formed 10 years ago by some guys kicking a ball around before going to the pub, the Saints has gone from humble beginings to international League champions. They train on a Thursday night under lights and play every weekend. They're always looking out for new talent, any age, ability or nationality is welcome and don't worry some things never change, frosty beers are never far away!

Saigon Saints have gradually established as one of HCMC most respected teams. They are a non-profit amateur expat Football club run by a team of volunteers. They compete in the annual Saigon International League. They train regularly, hold social events along with national and international tours. Often inaccurately labeled as the British team the Saints are proud of our diversity, the current squad contains players from Ireland, France, Denmark, USA, Canada, Singapore, Australia, Holland, Spain, Argentina, and of course Vietnam. In-fact they welcome all players regardless of age, ability and nationality. Some members work weekends and so only practice during the week and some are purely social. All are welcome, If you'd like to join, contact them and they'll guide you to the next training session where you can meet some of the guys.

Hey guys and Anthony........
Just to let you know, Saigon Saints are not the ONLY club in HCMC!

How about the SAIGON RAIDERS! http://www.saigonraiders.com

We play in the SIFL (Saigon International Football League).

Saigon Raiders formed in 1990 and are one of the oldest expat teams in Saigon. Originally Scandinavian, we now boast members from all over the world including England, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, South Africa, Spain, Vietnam and Switzerland.

Competing in the SIFL since its inauguration in 2000, the Saigon Raiders aid the development of amateur football in Saigon, the privilege of the first ever chair of the newly formed SIFL committee falling to the club.

Through their Danish origins they attend the Viking Cup, a competition held around Asia once a year. In 2005 the VC was held in HCMC, 2006 in Shanghai, 2007 in Bali and in 2008 Hong Kong and Macau. Another Raiders regular is the Manila Nomads tournament held annually in the Philippines, featuring 32 teams from across Asia.

Come and join us...contact me, jon [at] connectionsvietnam [dot] com

Thanks!
