Good morning every body.
I am Mrs Rinddy General Manager at Bougainvillier. Sorry for my English if I would have some mistakes.
Last week we had a pb with one guy and lady who went to the Quay next door to our hotel and restaurant. As they park in front of our business our guards as them politely to park at the in front of the Quay. Space is very limited and our customers always complain that there is no parking place. They refused and stayed there of course not very happy. It is always not an easy situation. The touk touk take all the few places. The lady shout a little bit strongly than they enter the Quay. She went out again to fight my guards. ( my own guards + from the army). After this she went in our lobby and had very strong arguments with the Front desk Manager Mrs Dawin. Our MAnager ask her very politely to go out and not to disturb our guest. She refused and again fight our guards who never touch her. They have training at the police station. Many guest and staff arrived at the sceen to see what is happening. As she did n t want to go out we called the police. After a while she finely went out accompanied with our guards. She wanted excuses and even we did n t make a mistake my guards apologized. When the police arrived she left already. We show the policeman our records from our cameras then they left. Sorry for this incident but we never never touch this lady and keep the camera recordings even for 10 years. Thank you.
Mrs Rindy

This version sounds more believable to me than the original rant from the crazy lady.

Does it come with a music video?

Will this thread also be taken down, like the first one? See below:

"Three male security guards assaulted one expat woman at Bougainvillier Boutique Hotel"
Dear all, just a cautionary line about the staff at Bougainvillier Hotel on
Riverside (next to The Quay). I was assaulted from behind by three male
security guards a few days ago while I was walking towards the hotel
reception desk to request to talk to the manager. One of the guards had moved
my motorcycle from outside the hotel into the middle of rush-hour traffic on
Sisowath Quay and left it there to get hit by passing cars. They punched me
to the floor, then eight of them dragged me outside and dumped me on the
pavement.

Thanks Admin, for the clarification.

And I understand why Naked Rider chose to delete the post she started.

Hopefully she'll think twice about posting defamatory messages in the future.

This is the last reply I post on this site regarding the matter.

We'll soon see Laura in person in order to understand the reasons of her original post. We'll also show her the tape during our discussion, that's a guarantee. And those police officers who escorted her outside during that evening will be present to testify.

I think the video should be uploaded for us to settle the debate. Interesting to see the Hotels video

I think the OP is entirely believable. The Bougainvillier are notorious arseholes about parking and think they own the street.

I committed the horrendous crime of parking in front of there during Chinese New Year a while back. The whole street was empty due to the holiday and I get fetched out of Riverside to find a European guy in a Highlander right behind my car leaning on his horn. There were literally three spaces in front and behind of where I'd parked! I mean what a twat. I'm assuming he was the owner as he was barking orders at the security guards.

The car was brand new and when I saw it in the day light the next morning there was a dent on top of the bonnet that looked like it had been struck with something, possibly a night stick.

The funny part is that we were actually planning to eat at the Bougainvillier after we'd had some drinks in Riverside which is why I'd parked there instead of in front of the Riverside, but obviously we canceled that plan and that place has been put on the black list. I've never returned.

don't know the story, but i DO remember staying at the bougainvillier once, briefly ... back in 2009 ... and it was a VERY brief stay ...

my wife and i booked in for a 3-nite stay in one of the mini-suites ... on checking in, the receptionist, who probably didn't realize i could understand him, told my wife in khmer that prostitutes aren't allowed in the hotel ...

my wife tried to be polite about it by pointing to her wedding band (and the ~5000 bucks of diamond on it), and the guy repeated that no prostitutes were allowed inside the hotel, then proceeded to ask for he ID card as a deposit, even though I had ALREADY offered him BOTH of our passports for check-in ...

no apologies even after I had told him she was my wife ... left immediately, went and got a junior suite at the asia palace for half the price, where the chinese-speaking staff are polite and welcoming, and they remember your name and preferences ...

never went anywhere near the bougainvillier since, and would never want to either ... your staff there need some SERIOUS training in diplomacy and guest-relations ... as for the asia palace hotel, we've stayed there a few dozen times over the years, and have never had any problems ...

cheers,
Az.

So it's settled, the Bouga needs to release the video for us to watch. And they need to appologize to Azuriel for calling his wife a whore.

Azuriel--you showed a lot of restraint, I don't know what I would do if someone called my wife a whore to my face.

@CLUB: actually, thinking back now, it was my wife who, pissed off though she was, didn't want to make a big scene out of it ... if i'd had my way, i would've "asked" some shady khmer guys i sort-of know to take care of the problem for me ... but had i gone down that way, the hotel would've been a receptionist or 2 short a few days later ... fish in the river might've got a good feed though ... Smile

Good story this.
Always a problem in Cambodia with parking.I understand that bong thoms in their lexies have special privileges but why are tuk tuks allowed to infest the riverside?

my theory is that the tuk tuks form a cordon stopping people from crossing the road, hence, they have to walk past the businesses lining the road ... perhaps the idea is that is they walk past a place often enough, they'd be more likely to go inside to spend some money?

i dunno, in my case, it just pisses me off, and makes me walk past faster ...
