Heard last night of a young girl shot dead on Monday night, 12th March. Apparently she was a 3/4th year university student out driving with her boyfriend. He had a Honda Dream and she a Honda Super Cub. For some reason they swapped bikes. As they were driving along near to the Russian Embassy, Sothearos Blvd, they were forced to pull over by robbers on a moto and turned into the small lane that runs alongside a wat and up to Ican infants school. The robber told the girl to give him the keys and she was apparently a little slow/reluctant to hand them over as it was her boyfriend's bike. So the guy shot her. For a 2011 Honda Dream, worth all of a thousand bucks. What a waste of a life. The murder happened at 8.30pm!
Sad, Its time they cleaned up the place...
Any media reports of this yet?
A friend of mine in the US was stabbed in the back (no warning given) for his shoes.
More than one person was killed in the US over the PS3 as well.
IMO Cambodia isn't more violent or dangerous than the US.
most people know their killer..
I still haven't seen a news story on this. Hopefully it was just hearsay.
Made the press.
Actually happened in toul kork.
No khmer woman should drive a moto at night there.
May have happened in TK but local neighbourhood convinced it happened round our way. So much so that the little street side stall that used to always have customers, in the lane where the murder was supposed to have happened, now only has a handful of customers and quite often none. So...
