The Korea Women Inventors Association (KWIA) will hold the international Women's Invention Exposition from May 8 to 10 in southern Seoul. Its purpose is to support women inventors and companies set up by women entrepreneurs to provide an opportunity for marketing their inventive products, sharing information and experiences and also finding good business opportunities.
About 400 handy inventions to improve daily life produced by women based on their experiences as mothers and wives will be exhibited including Loofen, a food waste drier that was awarded first prize by the International Federation of Inventors' Associations at the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva.
On the sidelines of the exposition, the Korea International Women's Invention Forum will be convened on May. 9 from 09:00 to 16:00, where 300 women inventors from Korea and overseas will share information and experiences.
Organizers say the international Women's Invention Exposition will be able to serve as a gateway to success for women inventors around the world from now on.
They plan to regularize the event, hoping to provide women inventors and students with opportunities to showcase their inventions and form networks with one another.
