Playgroups in Seoul

International Playgroup at Seoul International Baptist Church

Location: In Haebangchon, near Itaewon

Time: Tuesday and Thursday 10 - 11 a.m.

The church opens up a large room, fills it with preschool-appropriate toys, sets up a blanketed, babies-only area too, and runs a simple program for the kids. Directors Jessica and Pamela organize a craft each week and have a regular story time, song time and snack time. The moms have coffee, tea, their own snack sometimes and lots of conversation. About 20-30 kids and moms come each time.

Seong-buk Dong Playgroup

Location: Rotates between different homes in the Sungbuk-dong area

Time: Fridays

About four or five moms and preschoolers in the Sung-buk area had been meeting in each others' homes until Fall 2006 when a lot of these preschoolers started school. LaSharon can put you in touch with some other moms of young kids in that area, who may be staying home but don't have enough participation for a formal playgroup now.
