Racing Car Festival in Cheongpung
Saturday, 24 of May
Ztravelbug heads north to the pristine area of Cheongpung to take part in a racing exhibition and festival. Our members will be given a VIP pass for discounts and given the chance to take the wheel of an actual race car. Other activities will include live performances by Korean singers and dancers, a parade, stunt show, beauty contest, and a road race. Ztravelbug members will be given at 50% for Korea’s highest bungee jump (62M). There are loads of activities for adrenaline junkies and if you just want to relax and take in nature this area with its clean reservoir and forests is an ideal escape for those that need to breathe some fresh air and see some natural splendor.
N.B You must have a valid license to be allowed to drive the race car

8:00- departure (Hamilton Hotel, Itaewon)
10:30- arrive at the festival

Cheongpunghoban, about 10km from the gateway of Hoban in Geumseong-myeon, Jecheon-si to Cheongpung-myeon area, is very popular in mid April with magnificent scenery of cherry blossoms in full bloom and other spring flowers on the nearby mountains. There is also the Chungpung Cultural Property Complex which contains beautiful cultural assets from Cheongpunghyeon which was made up of eight towns before the the Chungju Dam was built.
