Picture Fresco cafe on St 51, and the new apartments on St 278 by Green Mango Cafe, and you have a picture of the style of apartment my client is looking for. Fresh/simple/clean lines. 2 bedroom, BKK1 or within a 10 minute drive of the Thai Embassy, $1300 - $1500 per month. Even an apartment that could be renovated would be fantastic. I know there is one out there, so please drop me a line. Smile

Do you need space to park a car, or not?

No, a car park is not necessary. Smile

Thanks Sophea
Does the apartment have ornate/fancy/beautiful ceilings and lots of lovely wooden built in cabinets?

Doesn't sound like your client's at all fussy or particular. Good luck, Lorna! Smile

Dear Lorna, it doesn't have ornate ceilings. The ceilings have tracklights and fans. The bathrooms have built in cabinets underneath the washbasins. The kitchen has built in wooden kitchen cabinets with wooden louvres and wall-mounted wooden cupboards with glass doors. There's a two-gas ring burner set into the kitchen bench, with a range-hood above. The main bedroom has spec-built floor to ceiling wardrobes (6m wide, 3m high, 0.5m deep) with sliding doors, a space and cable wiring for the television (if you wish to put it in the bedroom), shelving space and drawers. The spare bedroom has no built-ins and could be used as either an office or a second bedroom. The balcony is about 25sq.m, covered, and with a built-in fan. The furniture (other than the master bed) is optional any in any event is not "chunky Khmer". The bed was made to our own specifications to suit barangs - and as I said the entrances are all made to accommodate westerners as are the bathrooms and shower head heights. I'm not sure what is meant by the previous comment but all our previous Western tenants have been happy with the apartments, including the fussy and the particular. If you are genuinely interested, there's no harm in looking. We are not desperate to let it and want to make sure that we get the right tenant as much as you want to make sure your client gets the right place.

On this new board version, you can go to the User Control Panel to access the private messages...
Or, click on "(0 new messages)" to jump directly to the message sending area...
Or, click on the PM icon underneath the user's name to the right of the posting.

The last option is the best one if you're responding to a post - it will include a link back to the post so that the receiver will know what you're referring to, with no extra work from you required!

Hi mael,
Sorry, that wasn't a comment directed at the place you have on offer, at all. I just read Lorna's post and pictured her standing with a list of a length akin to Santa's, provided by a client. Had a chuckle. Given the difficulty in finding good quality places in Phnom Penh, having a long specific list would make her job really hard to do... so it was kind of sympathy for her combined with relief that it's not me doing the hunting.
(Lorna's client, if you're watching - no offense meant there either! You're entitled to make requests, it's just they can be hard to fulfill here... Smile)

This is a nice/clean/tidy good sized apartment if any one else is watching this post. $1200 per month is pretty reasonable as it's close to town and Sihanouk Bld. My client decided no because of the couple of growly dogs on the property. Good luck with the renting.

Only one dog - to warn the burglars off. He's smart enough to know not to bite the tenants.

I know of a nice small house in Bkk1 for $800 a month.
havent seen inside but the rich khmer owners have just renovated it so it should be good.
Too many tenants too fussy here.
