My family and I are going to Cambodia at the end of March. We have an 8, 6 & nearly 2 yr old. We want to go to Angkor Wat, PP and if time, the beach at Sihanoukville which I've read is the best in Cambodia. Any tips, advice about hotels that are good for families and travelling to Sihanoukville from Phnom Penh. I hear it's either by bus or taxi. How long is this trip?
Thanks

In Siem Reap the best bet is a hotel with a pool. Try http://www.thevillasiemreap.com Ask to speak with Anthony or Fiona.
The beaches down south are great. They are starting to be discovered and hotels are filling up. The Sokha Beach Hotel, Independence hotel are the bigger ones down there.
Buses take around 4 hours to get to the coast. taxis are great way if you have kids. It gives you just that extra freedom and the driver will stay with you for the duration.
Try Sam an expat recommended driver. Book early.
Are you looking for a driver with a car to hire on a daily/weekly basis?
Our driver Sam has recently started his own taxi business, as we are about to depart Cambodia and return to Australia. Sam has worked for us for 4 years and we can highly recommend him. He has good English, is a safe driver, an excellent tour guide, and even does your bargaining for you at the markets! Sam has been a loyal, honest, and trustworthy member of our staff, and is highly regarded by everyone.
