Any ideas on where to find one?
I've tried Pencil, Lucky, some catering suppliers on Mao Tse Tung and Sihanouk. All the obvious places with no luck.
I got mine at the Russian Market. I can't remember what stall but it was near the food court. All the best.
I got a decent one at the IBC next door to Lucky on Sihanouk. It is on the second level near where they sell all the birthday decorations. I think it was around $8. They also sell them at Central Market in the dishware/kitchen appliance area (west/Kampuchea Krom entrance just after the fruit/seafood sellers).
Thanks a lot.
Found some at Central today, but they're pretty poor. I'll try IBC tomorrow.

Bump on this older post. My plunger from IBC finally kicked it today and IBC no longer carries them!
Does anyone have some quality intel on where to get a decent french press/plunger?
I would say this qualifies as an emergency so any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated

Paragon supermarket, near the palace on 214 has them, 2 sizes, not awesome quality, check the screens out to get the best one; should do in case of emergency!
In reply, do you know the best source of ground beans?
DG - thanks for the reply, i ended up getting a pretty decent (800ml) one at central market.
regarding beans it's a matter of taste but personally i really like the strong local (camb/viet/lao) beans.
i get them from a great coffee import/roasting warehouse on Tep Phan (182st) and 241st on the right side just before Mao Tse Tsung. can't remember the name but it's really easy to spot. it's a block or two north of the mondial wedding center. definitely a little journey from the bkk1/riverside area but well worth it as they have many varieties of whole bean and ground coffees ranging from $2-6/kg.
hope this helps and feel free to pm for more detailed directions.
Great, thanks David, I'll head down there.
I buy my presses and awesome Cambo/Viet coffee at Orissey Market.
Just remembered, I saw some Bodum presses in the building with the latest sky bar on top, the one on Monivong about a block north of Sihanouk.
I'm might try there tomorrow and I'll report back.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf on Monivong is selling Bodum Chambord in 8 and 12 cup sizes at $50 & $60.
