“Jerk” is a style of cooking native to Jamaica in which meat is dry-rubbed or wet marinated with a very hot spice mixture called Jamaican jerk spice. Jerk seasoning is traditionally applied to pork and chicken. Jerk seasoning principally relies upon two items: allspice (called "pimento" in Jamaica) and Scotch bonnet peppers. rubbed on the chicken and left to marinade its then BBQ till crispy brown and served with rice and peas. Jamaican meat patties are filled with curried ground beef, onion, garlic, and Scotch bonnet pepper, plus a slew of aromatic herbs and spices. ... The dough is loaded with butter and colored with curry, making it one of the best snacks around!!!

4PM: DOCUMENTARY - Bob Marley's universal appeal, impact on music history and role as a social and political prophet is both unique and unparalleled. Kevin Macdonald’s MARLEY (2012, 145 min) is the definitive life story of the musician, revolutionary, and legend, from his early days to his rise to international superstardom. Made with the support of the Marley family, the film features rare footage, incredible performances and revelatory interviews with the people that knew him best. Viewers will walk away knowing Bob Marley in much more intimate and accurate fashion, rather than the specious, superficial or incomplete picture they may have had before.

7PM: DOCUMENTARY DUB ECHOES (2008, 75 min) shows how the Jamaican invention called “dub” ended up much of the music we hear today, from electronic music to hip hop, transforming the studio in a music instrument and giving way to all of sonic experiment. Through interviews with over 40 key names such as Bill Laswell, Lee Scratch Perry, DJ Spooky etc., Bruno Natal’s film connects the dots of the otherwise fragmented relation between all these genres. 8.30PM: BOB MARLEY LIVE CONCERT; 9PM (Art Café): DJ PARTY with WAT-A-GWAAN REGGAE COLLECTIVE feat. KAZTET D. and friends
