Internet is fairly fast and reliable and not too expensive. Most shops charge 1$ to 1.50$ per hour, however some places have a minimum charge. Many of the guesthouses have internet access as well as internet shops all over town. A few places, such as Starfish cafe and Ana internet, have Wifi access in the downtown area.

Most of the hotels in the area have international call for about 1.50$ to 5$ a minute and the internet shops charge about 500 riel per minute. There are also phone stands along the main streets offering domestic call for about 500 to 600 riel per minute.

Cambodian telephone numbers begin with a '0' (e.g. 034-000000) When dialing domestically, it is usually necessary to dial the '0' at the beginning. When dialing from outside Cambodia to a Cambodian telephone number, you must use the country code but exclude the '0' at the beginning (e.g. 855-34-000000). When dialing internationally from Cambodia, you must precede the number with '001' or '007'.
