Getting to Kep

From Kampot: The road to Kep is a smooth paved road and will take you about 30 to 45 min. on a motto. It is 25km for Kampot. Follow the road to the White Horse Monument. Hang a right at the monument and at the next main turnoff hand another right on to the ocean front road this will lead you straight to the beach area. Mottos charge 3$ each way and a tuk-tuk is about 10$ round trip.

From Phnom Penh: Busses from Phnom Penh are available daily and cost about 4$ each way. The road is good but slow going if it is a holiday. It will take you about 4 to 5 hours. The bus leaves from the station near central market and tickets can be purchased at the station at some guesthouses or all along riverside from the little booths. Take the buses to Kampot and tell the driver or operator that you want to get off in Kep.
