Now that I have watched every current season of every HBO series available, I find myself craving new material like a smack addled couch surfer. The DVD shop owners are tired of me turning up every day looking for the newest season of Dexter, 30 Rock and Underbelly. "Are they here yet? Are they here yet?" I beg them over and over like a kid who has spent too long in the family car on the way to Grandma's house. "I'll pay you top dollar DAMN YOU!!” They politely shake their head but I can hear their under-breath utterances as they shoo me out of their shops " damn HBO junkies.

The Phnom Pen

Were you hitting your teenage years around 1980 ? If so, you may remember the explosion that was beat-boying or more commonly….break dancing. The Sugar Hill Gang and Grandmaster Flash were bringing the streets into our white bread living rooms with their edgy new style of music called RAP and life was never going to be the same again. Alongside the rappers came the b-boy crews such as the Rock Steady Crew and the New York City Breakers.

I have written in the past about my addictions to series such as The Wire, The Shield, Dexter and Boston Legal. Some time ago Mark gave me a few videos but before I could watch any of them our 1yr old daughter broke our 3 week old DVD player. Bugger. I have let some 3 months or so slide without replacing the unit and on Saturday morning I could handle not having a DVD no more ! $49 later I had a sleek new silver Sony player installed and was ready to pick up on my pro couch potato tour again.
